Plan2Production is a PC-based, computer-integrated process planning and manufacturing tool that expedites the production and/or repair of parts. The system fully integrates process planning and shop floor workstations to enhance communications between engineer and Shop Floor Artisan.

Plan2Production is a product designed and developed for production facilities regardless of size. It is currently in use at multiple DoD and commercial sites in the U.S. and abroad. It is a component of a larger RAMP Enterprise Solution whose mission is to meet customers’ critical needs to rapidly produce on-demand mechanical and printed wiring assembly parts using streamlined manufacturing engineering processes.

By combining flexible and easy-to-use software applications with proven production processes, Plan2Production easily integrates with virtually any existing manufacturing engineering CAD/CAM system. The system's modularity allows it to be readily interfaced with portable manufacturing resources that may be deployed to remote locations.

Plan2Production contains common interfaces for administrators, process planners and shopfloor users at all workstations. The administrative interface includes site-customized controls to specific functional areas. The Process Planning interface enables the manufacturing engineers and planners to limit or expand job instructions delivered to the artisans. Changes to jobs already "In-Process" are easy to accomplish at one workstation and take effect at all others.
